Indiana Considers RLCs and Speedcams
In two seperate bills, the Indiana General Assembly is considering the use of Speedcams and RLCs. HB 1199 would authorize the use of speedcams and SB 527
would authorize the use of RLCs.

HB 1199 is in the House Roads and Transportation Committee and SB 527 is in the Senate Committee on Corrections, Criminal, and Civl Matters. Neither bill has been given a hearing yet. But that can change at any time.

Man when is indy and IL going to lay off?
Man ever since I had my first girlfriend in indy they have been known since then 20yrs ago with having some kind of point to prove. I used to run detectors even back in those days, and man let me tell you your silly not to have your stuff on in Indy. That was lesson number one that I learned.

Re: Indiana Considers RLCs and Speedcams
Just last year they banned the use of RLC. Why the "change of heart?"

Re: Indiana Considers RLCs and Speedcams
There was no attempt to ban RLCs in Indiana last year that I know of. Redflex did pull out of Indiana though and was no longer registered as a lobbyist, according to the Indianapolis Star. However ACS and ATS took over where Redflex left off.
There have been no committee hearings scheduled for either bill as of 2-16-11. Any bills that don't make it out of committee by the 21st are considered dead, unless they sneak it into another bill.

Re: Indiana Considers RLCs and Speedcams
I would not be surprised to see that happen GTO_04 you know how these people are when it comes to being down right sneaky. Wanting to sneak legislation in there that is totally anti motorist to say the down right least.
