    A little competition is a good thing. Looks like a hardware upgrade is in the works for the V1.

    In short the upgrade involves filtering out unwanted harmonics, possibly reducing false alarms and reducing losses on the fundamental frequencies (the ones we want to detect) and that means longer range.

    I am not sure how that poster arrived at the 18 dbi figure but if it turns out to be true that is huge.

    It's about time. Honestly the V1 has been lacking for years in Ka Band detection. These changes hopefully shall even the playing court. 18Dbi would be equal to 2 to 2 1/2 s-meter bars! This is a huge leap if that number is anywhere near valid.
