TruSpeed Lidar encounter. Deadly lidar encounter driver beware! NJ!
Had a TruSpeed Lidar encounter the other night, legit hit from a NJ staty on I-78 West Bound from NYC to Allentown PA. Talk about deadly. The only device that alerted where my LI heads. They detected and jammed for about 4-5 seconds just enough to slam the brakes. Then the alert was gone. He either got PT or lost sight of me behind a larger vehicle that was beside me. V1, and Blinder m-20 didn't alert at all!! With V1 being mounted directly above the windsheild wipers tipped 1-2 degree's to the front even!! I was very very dissapointed in the encounter. Although i'm glad that something i had atleast picked him up.
I am dissapointed because in our testing of the TruSpeed lidar, it detected and was jammed by my m-20's. Infact they almost JTG'd it from what i hear. Although, in a real world situation last night. THey failed to even alert. Perhaps i just picked up scatter of him shooting a car by me. Idk but i saw the door proped open i saw the cruiser, it was legit TruSpeed in use. Thank god V1 uttered a peep of fain't K band to my front, four blips to be exact. Thus i was already slowed down. I got lucky this time. It's just concerning that the other components didn't alarm.
Mile markers TruSpeed is being used, 45 mile marker west bound I-78. Another officer was on the east bound side, 32-35 mile marker roughly. Nasty spot at the 45 you just crest this roll over hill. Right after the hill on your right there is the state trooper backed in, in full blackout door open lidar resting on window cill, wham lidar. Deadly deadly. Driver beware!

The Li's are very sensitive to scatter, so it's possible that is exactly what happened. But if you had to have something miss a shot it had better be your detector.
I find it hard to believe the blinders did not alert, but I have not tested the M20's against the Truspeed, so I have no personal knowledge if they will detect it or not.
