Well, it looks like I'll have to send my V1 in again this year. I've been getting a single bar on X band, forward facing. It doesn't matter if I'm alone or with traffic. /sigh ...just as the holiday comes around and I'm making a road trip next week.

My Sprint cell phone used to do the same thing. Have you tried eliminating possible signals within the vehicle?

I never thought the phone would cause an issue. I will try that. I find it odd that a phone would cause a false.

My old Verizon Motorola phone used to set off my V1 in certain circumstances on x band. It can happen, but check the electronics inside your vehicle.

I drove a little bit with it today and no falsing. I currently use a Blackberry 9700 (Bold).

My Blackberry (Nextel network) causes static in my auxiliary speakers, but not any falsing. I can always tell when a phone call, text or email is about to arrive as I start getting static just before the phone alerts me.

Ever since my V1 went out of tune earlier this year (and sent it in to get fixed), it just doesn't seem to be the same. Is the 872 that much better than the 826? The other issue I've seen is the arrows just don't react like they used to. I may just tell Valentine to upgrade it just to fix my issues.

I've had falsing the last two days in the morning, nothing last night, and a little bit this evening, but no where near as much. I tempted to upgrade it. What is the difference between 826 and 872?

Differences can include less ghosting issues w/ the 872 and the k band muting works properly on the 872. Some say k band is better on the 872, hard to tell. Main difference is you have a Euro x band on/off setting because some countries have a different x band frequency which is why VR did this.

Picked up legit X just yesterday in Morristown NJ. City Leo running constant on X, so powerful it put my x-50 in self cal many times until I shut it down and moved away from him. Was this really necessary to have the power this high?
