What CB radio do you use?

I use a Galaxy 959 w/ a Power Mic and Wilson 1000 magnet mount in my car and in the big truck I use a Cobra 148GTL w/ a Road King Mic and a Francis whip. My back up CB is a 1981 President AX144 CB. All three radios have AM and Upper and Lower sideband. Sideband is nice as you can talk twice as far as AM.

I personally use a Uniden 520XL, or a Uniden PC68XL I prefer the PC68xl for long trips because of better coverage. The 520 is a good backup that I carry on long trips just in case. I also have a 510xl sitting around with a clipped limiter just in case i still really need to get out and the first two have failed me. I also have a 62 in whip laying around instead of the little wil for exceptionally large trips aka from here to my family's in Michigan. 13hr ride. I might take the bigger whip for more range, and warning.

Yeah it is really nice, but I gotta watch it when I come home it smacks the power lines.. Do NOT want to become a crispy critter when trying to take her down I almost have to drive away from my house to put it up even lol! THough, hey she gets out!
